We have a commitment to sharing our knowledge and skills with public audiences both within and beyond the academic community and a willingness to learn from the communities with whom we engage.

We engage with schools and community groups at festivals, science centres, museums and galleries.
We encourage and enable staff and students to participate in and develop public engagement resources and events. One example of the way in which we embed public engagement in the culture of the School of Chemistry is through Public Engagement Development Scholarships for postgraduate research students.
