Global Alumni Network

The School of Chemistry maintains lifelong relationships with our former students. Find out more about our alumni during your studies and stay connected with the School of Chemistry after graduation.

Meet Our Alumni

The University of Edinburgh has a diverse community of former students spread across the world. Whether you are still getting to know Edinburgh or transitioning to life after University, you can draw on the knowledge and experience of this global support network. Wherever possible, we will bring School of Chemistry alumni back to share their journeys with you during your studies.

You will find supportive graduates from across the University on Platform One, an online space where University of Edinburgh students, alumni, staff and volunteers can share insights and support each other.

You can also explore our alumni profiles to find out more about the paths our alumni have taken since finishing their studies. Check back for new profiles as we catch up with more graduates throughout the year.

Stay in Touch

You will always be part of the School of Chemistry and we are here to help you to stay in touch with the School and each other. As you take your next steps, we would be delighted to hear from you and help you in any way that we can.

When you finish your studies, we will keep you informed about relevant news, events and opportunities to meet Chemistry staff and peers wherever you are in the world. You will also receive regular University-wide updates from the Alumni Office.

Remember to update your details by logging into your MyEd account. You will be able to access MyEd using your existing credentials to update your personal information, communication preferences, and vote in upcoming University elections.

There will also be opportunities to get involved in School activities. We would love to invite you back to share your experiences to inspire, motivate and encourage the next generation of Chemistry students. Examples include:

  • Speaking to prospective students to give them an insight into what it’s like to study at the School of Chemistry.
  • Creating an alumni profile to share your journey since graduation.
  • Taking part in an alumni panel event to help students to learn from your experiences.

If you have any questions about staying connected to the School of Chemistry, please contact Kerry Balkwill, Alumni Relations Marketing Officer.
