Join us at Glencorse Centre all day on the 16th of October for fun, family friendly science activities.

Learn about fluorescence, what it is, some of its uses and test some everyday objects that you can find around your house to see if they fluoresce! Take your own ???Rainbow in a box??? home with you by making your own visible light spectroscope and write a message on our secret message board. Explorathon 2015 - Excite-Mols

Ever wondered how atoms and molecules absorb light? And what happens to them when they do? Come and see for yourself - and make sure to bring your singing voice!

This drop-in activity has been developed by Dr Adam Kirrander and his research group. They work in the area of ultrafast dynamics and imaging and want to understand exactly what happens when matter interacts with light, and how we can control it.
