A Celebration of Chemistry and Light Prof. Robert Donovan

At this year's June graduation ceremony, the University of Edinburgh will be awarding Professor Robert Donovan an Honorary Degree to mark his extended distinguished contribution to Chemistry and the University of Edinburgh.

The School of Chemistry will be holding a symposium and reception, and a dinner on Saturday 25th June to celebrate this award with ex-students, colleagues and friends.

Symposium and Reception - 2.00 pm

The symposium and reception will take place in Lecture Theatre 250, School of Chemistry, Joseph Black Building, West Mains Road, EH9 3JJ, and will follow this timetable:

  • 1:30pm Arrival and Coffee

Celebration Dinner - 7.30 for an 8.00 pm Start

The dinner will be held at Surgeons' Hall, Nicolson Street, Edinburgh, EH8 9DW. Surgeons' Hall is a beautiful historic venue located in the heart of Edinburgh and only ten minutes away from Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle.

The dinner is open to all staff, alumni, and friends of the School and there will be a nominal charge of £25 per head.

Payment

Although the symposium is free of charge, it is necessary to make a nominal charge for the dinner in the evening. Payment can be made using the University of Edinburgh secure payment site ePay. If you wish to attend the dinner you must return to this page after registering, go to the ePay website and pay using a credit or debit card.
