The School of Chemistry was voted the winner in the annual EUSA Teaching Awards Best Department category in 2011. Our teaching has been rated as excellent by the Scottish Higher Education Funding Council. Courses are taught by world-leading scientists and our teaching labs are among the best in the UK.
In the second part of your course you will be able to study in a research lab on an extended project under the supervision of one of our researchers. You will gain vital practical skills by working closely with more experienced scientists in a real research environment.
All our courses are recognised and accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. We teach students all the chemistry skills they'll need to work in a modern research environment. As well as the latest chemistry techniques and concepts, you'll learn valuable skills such as teamwork and problem-solving, which will prove useful no matter what route you take after graduation.
