We are delighted to invite you to a special symposium in the Joseph Black Building on Saturday 11th March in celebration of Professor Robert (Bob) Ramage, who passed away in 2019.
Professor Robert Ramage FRS joined the School of Chemistry in 1984, and stayed with us until his retirement in 2000, after 40 years of innovative contributions to Natural Product Chemistry. Alongside extensive research, he trained and inspired many students during his time as Head of Department and Forbes Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.
This event will celebrate Robert Ramage’s memory with a day of scientific talks, memories and tours of the School of Chemistry, with contributions from family, friends, alumni and current students. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
Join us to learn about the scientific legacy of this great man, reminisce and hear about research and learning taking place in the School of Chemistry today.
