Widening Participation Projects

The School of Chemistry is involved in many Widening Participation Projects that aim to raise aspirations and educational attainment among prospective students from under-represented groups.

Revision Classes

As part of the Pathways to the Professions project, Higher Chemistry revision sessions are offered in the School of Chemistry in the Easter holidays. Please register with the Pathways to the Professions project if you wish to attend these classes.

Kickstart Summer Scool

Kickstart is a week long Summer school which is free to attend and is designed to provide a fun and useful taster of studying at University.

The School of Chemistry runs a workshop during the week in which students gain hands on experience of several chemistry techniques. The Kickstart Summer School is open to all current S5 pupils studying in state schools in West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian Councils. Pupils in Dumfries and Galloway can also apply to attend.
