Background

As the H&S Manager at the School of Chemistry, I have responsibility for the health & safety management systems including risk assessment procedures, lab safety audits, training & induction, accident investigation, chemicals management and emergency preparedness.  I provide specialist safety advice, deliver training in the safe handling of hazards (chemicals, cryogens, pressurised gases, lasers) and ensure regulatory compliance.
